The RACI Chart is a special functionality that allows the user to create human roles and responsibilities for nearly all the content documented within the AMIGO platform. RACI stands for Responsible, Accountable, Consulted, and Informed. It is a simple matrix used to assign roles and responsibilities for each task, milestone, or decision on a project, the way we designed this, each one of these roles comes with some responsibility. And let me go over what those responsibilities are from an AMIGO standpoint.
RACI denotes Responsible, Accountable, Consulted and Informed, four parameters used in a matrix in decision making. RACI chart tool outlines the activities undertaken within an organization to that of the people or roles.
The Responsible role is the one who works on the content, delivers the content, and brings in all the appropriate decision-makers, whether that be consulted, accountable or informed people. And it also helps drive the necessary sign-ups. So they're looking within AMIGO for all the approval workflows. They're sending out those little personal notes of encouragement to say, hey, could you please expedite this? And just making sure that the approval process runs swimmingly. We do have those automated timers built-in here, but this is the human connection to make sure that when you are responsible, you are following up on the stuff that people owe you information about.
The Accountable resource has the ultimate accountability for that piece of content. They are traditionally the one who assigns the responsible team member. If there is a conflict and opposing views on how the content should be signed off, they are the ones who make the final decision on their content. They provide the tools for success to help complete their content and they champion change requests or running content if a change request is needed.
The Consulted parties and there could be many consulted parties within a given piece of content. They are providing their industry expertise and their subject matter expertise. They can also be part of the team that signs off on their content. And it's all based on how you can figure out the platform based on what type of content you want to be approved. They're also there to assist the responsible party as needed, should they need help in getting something done.
And then finally, the Informed role. The informed role is people who receive status, they receive information on the risks, issues, and key decisions that impact that piece of content. They can be a content approver if you choose to configure the solution to do so and they are also available as needed.
